Giant Cats.

I was googling some new cat reference pics for new paintings. I searched giant cats.
Get a load of what I found.

real (his name is Riley and he measures 49 inches long, 37 lbs)
fake but funny
real
real
real (strange)

Gotta love the internet, below are my results.
This fabled phantom cat lurks near Devon and Somerset. Keep an eye out. He looks friendly. The Beast of Exmoor - 48" x 36" acrylic on canvas.
Another legendary giant roams around Cornwall they say. You'd think someone would notice. The Beast of Bodmin - 48" x 36" acrylic on canvas.

Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that my boyfriend and I (he is an illustrator and I am a painting student) both love your blog. Your paintings are so positive and so refreshing. I especially like your entries about daily life as an artist, and about your process.
Oh, and our cat Marvin is a big fan of your stuff too :)
Keep it up!

Thanks Tere, I do try to keep things on the light side, there's more than enough darkness out there. Thanks for dropping by.

I find it really annoying the way cats seems to lose pounds on the camera where as I always add 10. GK in real like is a big kitty - the last time I took him to the vet the entire staff took a respectful step back at his size. But when we photograph him, he looks mildly plump at best.
